Woman who falsely reports bear attack near Golden gets community service



GOLDEN — Officials say a lady has been sentenced to 20 hours of group service for falsely reporting a bear attack in Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

KUSA-TV studies the alleged Sept. 19 assault led to a search of the park and its in style Coyote Trail — leading Colorado Parks and Wildlife to say there was no bodily evidence indicating there was any wildlife activity within the area.

Julie Bosworth, the lady who reported the attack, acquired a quotation for false reporting on Oct. 9 after Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers stated lab results determined she didn’t have bear DNA on her clothing, and as an alternative human and canine hairs.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife says Bosworth pleaded guilty to a class three misdemeanor on Tuesday.
