Woman hit by pickup while crossing downtown street

SAN DIEGO — A lady was significantly injured Friday morning after she was hit by a pickup truck whereas crossing a road in downtown San Diego.

Simply before 11 a.m., the fifty three-yr-previous lady was walking within the crosswalk within the 1200 block of Tenth Avenue when she was hit by an 85-yr-previous man driving a pickup southbound, stated San Diego Police Department Officer S. Foster. The driving force did not yield the suitable of method and hit her.

Officers discovered the driving force two blocks away, near C Road and 11th Avenue.

The sufferer was rushed to a hospital to be treated for all times-threatening accidents.

A Road was closed between tenth and 11th avenues, including the onramp to northbound state Route 163.
