CLEVELAND (AP) — Secretary of State Frank LaRose says he is reaching out to Ohioans who have been lately purged from Ohio’s voting rolls.
A spokesperson for LaRose stated Monday that he’ll attain out to an estimated 267,000 Ohioans who have been removed in January after not responding to a “final probability” notice from predecessor Jon Husted. Cleveland.com reports LaRose plans to send voter registration playing cards to each voter who was purged.
Both LaRose and Husted, who’s now Ohio’s lieutenant governor, are Republicans. LaRose has stated he hopes to enhance state voting rolls with a view to scale back the probability of somebody being removed.
