SAN DIEGO — All lanes of southbound Interstate 5 close to the San Ysidro Port of Entry will shut in a single day Monday.
Southbound I-5 between state Route 905 and the San Ysidro Port of Entry can be closed from 10 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday. The Camino De la Plaza southbound I-5 on-ramp and two to 3 southbound I-805 lanes may even be closed.
The closures will permit visitors from the southbound I-5 lanes to be transitioned to newly constructed lanes.
Drivers will probably be detoured to southbound I-805 by way of the state Route 905 connector.
Southbound visitors by way of the San Ysidro Port of Entry into Mexico will stay open through the detour.
Drivers should plan forward for attainable delays.
