ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis faculty bus driver was brutally attacked as she introduced college students residence Thursday afternoon. And it was all captured on video.
The driving force, Patrula Griffin, is minimize and bruised from head to toe but her spirit isn’t damaged after she was attacked. Despite her frustration, Griffin stated she forgives those that beat her.
The video exhibits a crowd of adults encompass the door of the bus at 9th Road and O’Fallon in north St. Louis. Youngsters on and off the bus watch as Griffin attempts to fend off one lady attacking her with an ice scraper.
“I used to be blocking her with my palms and arms,” stated Griffin.
Seconds later, another lady joined in because the beating intensified. The pair dragged Griffin off the bus.
“I fell onto the ground. They began to kick me. They started to hit me,” Griffin stated.
Because the beating continued, a young woman could possibly be seen kicking Griffin while she was down.
“I didn’t even realize it till I saw the video,” Griffin stated. “It was onerous to observe. It was embarrassing. Degrading.”
Griffin stated it’s made worse by the truth that she just happened to be working one other driver’s route that day, as an alternative of her common route. While working her regular shift, she stated her employer, First Scholar, asked her to select up a gaggle of students from Kipp Academy.
Days earlier, a special bus driver reported having hassle with the students on board, Griffin stated.

Griffin needs her attackers delivered to justice but in addition stated she forgives them. She praises a better power for her survival.
“I really feel like God’s angels of safety have been with me,” she stated.
First Scholar responded to the incident with a press release that reads, partially:
“We are appalled and saddened by the conduct captured in the video. We are thankful our driver was not significantly injured. We are working collaboratively with police and conducting our personal inner assessment of the incident.”
