TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Police say a 3-yr-previous boy driving in a automotive was fatally shot on an Ohio freeway when someone in one other car pulled up and opened hearth on Thanksgiving night time.
Toledo police Lt. Kevan Toney says it is clear the gunfire wasn’t random, but investigators couldn’t immediately say why the car pushed by the boy’s father was targeted, or whether it may be a case of mistaken id.
They say the gunfire occurred on northbound Interstate 75 in Toledo around 9 p.m. Thursday. The boy, Malachi Barnes, was pushed to a hospital, the place he died.
Police say a ten-yr-previous baby driving within the car was harm by damaged glass. The boy’s father and a 2-yr-previous passenger weren’t harm.
Toney says police are urging anybody with details about the capturing to contact them.
