North County house fire leaves family of 8 homeless


FALLBROOK, Calif. — A home hearth in a rural North County neighborhood left a household of eight displaced Monday.

The non-damage blaze in the 4000 block of Ladera Vista Street in Fallbrook erupted shortly before 1:30 p.m., in accordance with the North County Hearth Protection District.

Firefighters arrived to discover a rear coated patio on the unoccupied house burning, NCFPD Capt. John Choi stated. It took them about forty minutes to extinguish the flames, which also extended into the kitchen of the home.

The cause of the blaze was beneath investigation, Choi stated.
