ICE raids popular Korean market

SAN DIEGO — Immigration and Customs Enforcement brokers raided the favored Korean grocery retailer Zion Market Wednesday.

The market, which focuses on quite a lot of Asian groceries, was raided within the late morning as part of an investigation related to “the hiring and employment of people not legally approved to work in america,” an ICE spokesperson stated.

“ICE’s worksite enforcement technique continues to deal with each employers who knowingly hire unauthorized staff or continue to employ them,” the statement continued.

The company didn’t comment additional on the small print of the investigation.
