CARLSBAD, Calif. — Hope Elementary Faculty in Carlsbad was positioned on “precautionary lockdown” Wednesday morning after “what seemed like gunshots” have been heard close by.
“At approximately 9:02 a.m., what appeared like gunshots have been heard coming from the adjoining canyon to Hope Elementary Faculty,” said the school’s principal, Richard Tubbs. Out of an abundance of caution I referred to as for an instantaneous lock-down for all college students and employees.”
The varsity requested mother and father not to come to campus and not to name the varsity in order that their telephone strains might remain free. Courses would continue as normal, Tubbs stated.
A police officer was referred to as to campus however the faculty stated there was “no menace to any college students or employees.” FOX 5 has reached out to local regulation enforcement to study more.
