Bicyclist injured after being struck by SUV in El Cajon

EL CAJON, Calif. — A bicyclist was left with major accidents Saturday following a collision with a automotive at a El Cajon intersection, police stated.

The incident happened around 6:25 p.m. on the intersection of Fletcher Parkway and Cuyamaca Road, in line with El Cajon Police Lt. Jason Taub.

A 53-yr-previous man was driving a 2017 Chevy SUV westbound on Fletcher Parkway when a bicyclist driving southbound on Cuyamaca Road entered the intersection they usually collided in the second lane, police stated.

The bicyclist was driving towards a purple mild when the accident occurred.

Heartland Hearth Department paramedics discovered the victim, a 40-yr-previous lady unresponsive on the scene. She was then transported to an area trauma middle, Taub stated.

The Chevy driver, an El Cajon resident, remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.

Medicine or alcohol weren’t believed to have been a factor in the crash, police stated.
